Alright, here’s the skinny:

 This is the place where all the magic happens.  Where dreams are made, and happiness thrives.  Yes folks, you’ve happened across the physical embodiment of all that is good in the world.  Oh plus, you can find out about Lindy Exchanges.

 Ok, so what is a Lindy Exchange anyway?  Don't hold me to this, but the basic idea is that an exchange is when a city decides that it wants to open up it’s doors to Lindy Hoppers all over the world.  Events are scheduled, performances are set, people offer to host visitors, and general merriment is had by all.  It’s an incredible opportunity to visit a new city, dance with new people, build the Lindy Hop community, make new friends, and get little or no sleep!  (Or something a lot like that....)

 We’re all hoping that the site is pretty straight forward and easy to use, but some items might require a bit of explanation so here goes:

Menus:

The main menu on the left side of the screen can be used to navigate to the different sections of the site.  Clicking on the main title from any page will take you back to the homepage.  The two item menu on the bottom of the page is for general help.  The envelope icon is where you can mail us directly, and the question mark icon will take you to a far off land filled with mystery and adventure.

Exchange Me!

This is a service to put people who are visiting a new place in touch with people who live there and are willing to host them for a few days.  It’s a pretty simple concept: Fill in where you’re going and when, and we’ll automagically send out mail to some good folks that might be able to put you up!  This also seems like as good a place as any to put in a plug for becoming a “good folk” yourself.  Follow the link and let us know that if someone wanders into your neck of the woods, you’d consider clearing off the old couch!

Fear not, this service will NEVER send out your information to ANYONE.  All that happens if you sign up is that you’ll get a piece of mail saying that so and so is coming to your town on whatever dates, and if you’re interested in giving them a place to stay, please write to them.  Easy and unobtrusive.  Scout’s honor.
