Six months before the exchange:

Book live bands and DJs. The more popular the
band, the more lead time you will need to reserve them.

Web site. Once your
web site is set up, be sure to send the link
to
webmaster@lindyexchange.com so that we can link to it from your banner and
the calendar.

Advertise! Talk up your event on
Yehoodi (www.yehoodi.com),
Windyhop (www.windyhop.org), and other Lindy
hop discussion boards. Send Lindy ambassadors to other cities’ events. Get
people excited about all the cool things that will happen at your exchange!
Tips:

Print a bunch of t-shirts and give them away free
to people in other cities.

Make business cards with your exchange date and
Web site on them.

Give away a Ferrari to the first one hundred
people who sign up. (Or maybe just a weekend discount for the early birds.)
